恰空的基本定义
Chaconne, a dance and a musical form,
both in slow triple meter. The dance emerged about 1600 in Latin
America and Spain as a humorous, risqué solo or couple dance.
By the 1700s it had become a solemn figure dance for a double
line of couples and was popular at the French court. Some writers
define the musical form as variations on a ground bass, or constantly
repeated bass phrase; others define it as continuous variations
on a series of harmonies. The term passacaglia was also used for
similar pieces; the distinction is ambiguous. French composers
such as Fran?ois Couperin used the term chaconne en rondeau for
harpsichord pieces that are in the form A B A C A D ... A.
恰空舞步图
古乐大师戈贝尔制作这张恰空专辑可谓用心良苦。以前经常听巴赫的恰空，脑中对恰空的印象也难免刻板了许多，正如上面定义所说，恰空是一种比较严肃的舞蹈，但其前身17世纪初期的样子却有些humorous，从这张唱片中就可以听出些端倪，像Corelli小提琴奏鸣曲中的那个恰空，要算是欢快了。如果你再听下去，就发现恰空舞曲的表现形式是千姿百态的，譬如后两首作品，作者应为德国人，都有着帕海贝尔卡农的味道，上文提到恰空和Passacaglia有着血缘关系，从Mayr的作品中就可以感觉出，而法国大作曲家吕利的恰空则完全是另外的风格，听得出法国宫廷的严肃味儿，又感觉得出一种崇高的气势；英国作曲家亨利·普塞尔的恰空有着普塞尔一贯的作曲风格，不温不火，很容易打动人。总之，听这张唱片不仅仅是体验恰空，更可以从这些恰空中小寻出欧洲古代舞蹈音乐的发展脉络。
